Topic: Sony Bravia LCD TV 37" repairing service is suspended. I
I have Sony Bravia 37 model no.KLV37S400A Serial No.1205673. Due to lightening the power function was not wosking. I made complaint to Sony and Service center from Dunamis Trade Services of Kolkata attended the complaint on 3rd October,2015. Service engineer gave an estimate of repairing and job no. was given as J52464476 dated 05.10.2015. I deposited an advance of Rs.4000 towards cost of the parts.
On 23rd October,2015 The Service sent one email stating that parts are not available and they want to give 25% discount on new TV and they will take the defective TV. It sounds that they are forcing the customer to come to their terms and pay more money. This present TV is only 5 years old and how spare parts are not available is a big question.
In a country like India is it possible for lower middle class to buy TV evert five years? Is it not a financial torture by Sony India Ltd.?Being genuine customer I strongly feel that the consumer forum should take it suitably so that customers like me are not harassed by Company like Sony India Ltd.
It is fit case to take the metter to consumer court and sony must compensate all such customers who are denied after sales services on the pleas of non-availability of spare parts.
