We had filled a coupon at a big bazaar outlet offering free holiday package by COUNTRY CLUB. Very next day we received call from country club that we had won a free holiday package and we had to go to their office to collect it. My husband refused to go and told them that they would try to sell us a package.Their official requested that we come there without any money and they will just give us a presentation. we went there .there they gave us 2 hours long presentation and conned us into buying their membership.Although we had told them that we cannot afford it. they convinced us to buy an economy 5 year membership and told my husband to pay through his credit card.My husband gave them his credit card to check the credit limit .They swiped the card and took rs 35000/- out.We were told that we will receive our membership cards and other remaining documents in 20-25 days . we came back home with the papers they gave us. after 3-4 days my father met with an accident and had serious injuries. Co incidently my husband s uncle was also diagnosed with brain tumour at the same time. We called up the country club people to cancel our membership and refund our money as we could not continue this membership due to these unforeseen family problems.They told us that they will try.BUT nothing happened. we tried to call them but they never picked up the phone.Nor did we receive our membership cards or other documents. We could not go as we were busy with our family problems. After waiting for almost four months we went there . They told us to give an application citing our inability to continue their membership. We gave them our request application and we were told that they will definitely get back to us in 7 days. Its been over 15 days now and there s still no response. The credit card bank has been calling us for installment payment.NOW ONLY GOING TO THE CONSUMER COURT SEEMS TO BE AN OPTION.I REQUEST THE SUPPORT AND HELP OF THOSE WHO HAVE SUFFERED LIKE US . I ALSO REQUEST THE CONSUMER COURT PEOPLE TO HELP AND GUIDE US. THANK YOU
