Anonymous on "Travelling with Etihad was an Aweful Experience"

Hi,

I sent the following email with my complaint to the Etihad team and I've not heard any response except that thanks for contacting Etihad and we'll investigate into this. I sent a follow-up email as well but haven't heard anything from them yet, this shows how much they care about their customers and service to them..

Is there anyway I can get this sorted????

I'm writing to register my complaint about the harassment I faced in last few weeks due to my baggage not being transferred during my connection flight and hence ruined my entire vacation in the US. I had booked my ticket with Etihad and when I reached airport, I was told that the flight was delayed by six hours. Hence, they boarded me to Jet flight and assured that they will manage the baggage transfer and rest of the things seamlessly. I boarded the flight and reached Abu Dhabi and then took my connected flight to New York, JFK. I reached New York on March 7, 2014. After waited at the baggage claim counter for some time, I realized that my baggage was not arrived. I checked with the Etihad counter and they assured me that I’ll be getting my baggage by evening same day i.e., March 7. The file reference# I received from the Airline Rep. (Crystal) is JFKEY100453. I did not even have my basic stuff and to my surprise nobody even offered me some compensation with which I can at least buy some essentials, which was very demeaning and is not expected from a professional airline. I waited till evening and did not hear anything from the airline rep. I called up 10 times at least in the evening and no one picked up the call. After sometime, some gentleman picked and gave some other representative’s numbers and when I tried contacting, there was no response. Same thing happened till March 9 and then on March 9 afternoon, someone picked up my call and said we have limited manpower today and will get back to you about your baggage, which again was not at all acceptable. I followed up again on Monday, March 10 and the representative said that we’ll look into it and deliver the baggage by end of day today. Again, as expected from the experience I have been through in last few days, I did not hear back from anyone. Then In evening, when I again followed up, they informed that we just have found one baggage and delivered that to us on Monday but no information about the second baggage. I continued following up with your airline staff for next 2-3 days for my second baggage, but did not receive any concrete response from them. On March 12, we received a call from a delivery boy that he is going to deliver my baggage. Since, I was travelling, I asked that gentleman to deliver my baggage by 7-8pm to the given address. However, again to add to the horrendous experience of dealing with you. This gentleman talked very rudely and said if you need your baggage call me back as he was facing some voice clarity issues. When we talked again he said he can only deliver the baggage by 11pm, which is very late and working people sleep by that time. When I requested him to deliver it early then he said that the only time he can reach and if no one opens the door, then he’ll drop the baggage in front of my door gate. I waited for him till 10pm but he did not come and no calls at all. I woke up in the morning and our baggage was dropped outside the door. I’m very upset about the whole experience travelling with your airline and has never thought that an airline who claims to be best for their services would just completely ruin my travel plans. I had plans to travel to different places for business meetings and for my vacation but everything just got completely messed up because of this unprofessional behavior from your representatives. I also had to buy lot of stuff to be able to attend my business meetings and also pushed my vacation dates, for which I had to buy tickets at higher prices to Florida and other destinations. I arrived Delhi yesterday only and here I’m writing to share my awful experience travelling with your airline. I had never expected this and would never ever recommend your airline to anyone going forward Again, this was the worst ever experience I have ever had travelling with any of the airline. I want all my loss and compensation to be taken care by so called professionals like you!!!
