Anonymous on "Tata Docomo - wrong billing in data plan or false promises to sell the dongle??"

Hi,

I am highly disappointed and anguished by the way tata DoCoMo executives have handled my problem till now (which started in June July 2013) and the lack of coordination between their customer care and store executives.

I was asked to convert my prepaid photon plus 9221109976 to postpaid as there was some problem in the dongle, which as per their Ghatkopar store head they only replace for postpaid connections.

The invoice number for the replaced dongle is I2013-14/2100-1122-00352 on 8th June 2013 which costed me Rs 750. Mr Dinesh and the head at Ghatkopar DoCoMo store ( i think his name is Mr Vishal) had also verbally convinced me that as per a scheme running to get customers to move from prepaid to postpaid, I will also get 2gb free for the first 2 months (which made the offer exciting) and the conversion will be done in 2 to 3 days.(Mr Dinesh has since left the company.)

When the conversion didn't happen for a week, I called tata photon Customer care executives, who on phone told me that it will remain as prepaid connection only and I should do my usual recharge of Rs 450, which I did. A day after the prepaid recharge, the number got converted to postpaid making me loose Rs 450.

Also, in the next billing cycles, I was not given the 2gb data as promised. As a result, the usual bill of Rs 450 per month of prepaid came to around Rs 900 and Rs 1700. I had multiple rounds of conversations with the customer care on phone that the billing is not appropriate and if i am given even the 1gb per month, i will not have to pay any additional excess days charges and they did offer me some billing discount (- and that was after so much of requesting that the problem arose at their end and not mine). However, the discount is not at all enough as I am being asked to pay for data that I should have received for free (as promised to me while selling the plan). According to them I am supposed to visit Ghatkopar centre as the problem arose there. In this age of business and tough working environment, does tata DoCoMo think that the customer should be asked to visit their office between 9am to 7pm?

Then they disconnected my number in September without even informing me.

Well, I finally had to go and did go but came to know that Mr Vishal is in the other office. I asked for his number from Mr Rahul who declined and I instead took his number asking him to convey the problem to Mr Vishal and sort it urgently. I gave him 2 rings the next day as well but seems the people at Ghatkopar tata DoCoMo don't care to even solve the problems of their customers - which unfortunately was their own creation. After explaining the whole situation to him next day for more than an hour, I was able to convince him that Tata Docomo has wronged me and he will set it right. The next week when I called I came to know he had moved to a different store. The problem never got closed. I disconnected the number without paying the amount due (I had requested them multiple times that they need to send me the correct bill before I am able to make any payment - why should I be billed late payment charges when you sent me the wrong bill.) but I still receive calls from them.

I request you please take urgent action on my mail. I have not talked on phone so much in my entire year that tata DoCoMo executives have made me do in those 3 months.

I also urge you to take strong action against these 2 heads of the Ghatkopar Tata Docomo store.
Thanks,
Gaurav gupta
