I am a Vodafone user for past 4 years. I have got a postpaid connection. As per my last generated bill for the period 04.03.15 - 03.04.15, I have been charged a total bill of Rs. 1,859.67/-. As I was analysing the itemized bill, the point I noticed was that I have been charged exorbitantly for my data usage. Currently I am having a 3G 2GB Plan @ Rs. 450 active. I had exhausted the limit on 28.03.15 and immediately activated a booster plan for 300 MB @ Rs. 100 on 29.03.15. As per the activation message "Your Booster pack with Data Usage of 300 MB is now active and shall be charged a rental of Rs. 100".
For 2 GB charged 450/-, additional 300 MB charged Rs. 100/- (as per above message) so balance is 0.06 MB and I should be charged for that.As per my calculation my excess usage above 2GB + 300 MB is 0.06 MB / 62914.56 KB which comes around Rs. 250/- approx at Rs. 4p/10KB. But these guys have charged me about 1000 bucks extra stating booster pack is only for speed enhancement.
The charges implied are very high and I have been following up with Vodafone team about the same. But all my efforts are in vain. Everytime, I am getting the same set reply via mail stating details of my active plan, data plan, bill capping, etc. I had simply asked them to kindly check the calculations part. However, as per Voda the booster pack is only for enhancement of speed, although the same is no where mentioned in activation mail. The sms simply states that "Your Booster pack with Data Usage of 300 MB is now active and shall be charged a rental of Rs. 100". The message is in simple english and my understanding of same is fair.
One of the worst part was in their mails its mentioned "post free usage of 2GB", EXCUSE ME!! I paid 450 for that so its absolutely not free. Useless and Cheats!
Now after so many follow ups, they are half heartedly trying to provide me with a credit of Rs. 200/-. Dear Voda, I don't want any credit from you. I believe I should be charged fairly and you should be clear in communication with plans and packs with which you guys make a fool out of innocents.
