I have purchased a product vide Buyer Order no. 942624735, Sub-Order no. 75943549. Now there are multiple issues which I have with this Order. I am stating them below case by case wise.
Case 1 : I ordered this product on telephone while watching the promotion of this phone Micromax A075 on the Homeshop18.com TV Channel. Among other features of the phone was one that we can make video calls from the phone. When I received the phone I tried making video calls but to no success. I immediately called Homeshop18.com Customer Care. They said that Video calling on this phone is not possible because this phone doesn’t support 3G. Now what is this nonsense? This is a classic case of foul playing with the customers with blatant courage. Firstly, you are providing false information to the customers then you are not even accepting that you have provided false information so you should rectify and take the corrective measures. At that point itself you should have offered to take back the phone and return the money. But you are doing fraudulent practice with such pomp and show. I have never seen such a fraud in my life.
Case 2 : When I gave them the call to take the product back they said that go to your account on homehsop18.com website and initiate the return from there. I went there and failed to find the order there, then they said it is an order ordered over telephone so it will not be initiated from website.
Case 3 : When I gave a call to the customer care to initiate a return of this order because I am not satisfied and happy with the product. They said OK sir since it is within 30 days of the purchase that you are asking to return the product so we will initiate the procedure to refund the money and asked me to wait for a follow up call providing me details of a courier pick up of the phone. But I was surprised to experience that so such thing happened. A clear case of unprofessional behavior.
Case 4 : When I again gave the call to the Homeshop18.com Customer Care to say that if you don’t want to return the phone then atleast get the battery changed so that to say the least I can live up with the blunder that I made by ordering the phone from Homeshop18.com. But they told me in a very derogatory tone that what can we do if the battery of your phone is lasting only 10 minutes. They asked me to go to the Micromax Customer Care. A clear case of unprofessional behavior.
Case 5 : After all these incidences I gave a call to the customer care, in order to register the grievance pertaining the inaction of the customer service that even after giving the call to the customer care multiple time, no action has been taken on by the customer care support on this as well (though I was hoping to get a positive response on this). But while registering this grievance, I found another grievance!!
Case 6 : In the month of November, 2014, I wrote a mail which will exist as a record with both the parties. In this mail, I told the Homeshop18.com Customer Care that I want to claim the warranty of the Battery (as the team is reluctant to replace the phone). I was provided the Service Request no. 691461. But business as usual, no follow up call, no follow up email was given. When I myself gave the call to them they said that no service request number exists in their record and he asked me to go to Micromax Service Centre. I found another nonsense resolution.
Case 7 : I again gave up a call in the month of March, 2015 and narrated to the personnel the entire incident. The personnel abused me and in a derogatory tone told me that it is my phone so it is none of his business. So, what are these customer care personnel meant for if not to handle the customer complaints. Apparently he was not a trained professional to handle customers. But I take strong objection to such behaviour by anyone. I disconnected the call myself.
Case 8 : Just a few minutes after the incident mentioned in case 6, I gave another call, in the hope to find a well educated personnel at the other end. Well, I did. The personnel gave me a complaint registration no 127730271. Two days later, very cunningly and cleverly, a call was given to my mother from Homeshop18.com. It was a very smart move from Homeshop18.com to give a call to an unwitting family member of the customer. The family member was not aware of the facts of the case. Besides, well no surprises here, they gave a wishy-washy reply – please visit Micromax Customer Centre.
Now, I have been raising my concern about the product and not about some problem in its functioning that I should visit the service centre. Homeshop18.com team should promptly address and redress the grievance pertaining to its old and regular customers. Do you think that it is your right to do false advertisement to lure in the customers, make them pay money and then turn your back towards the customers. It is not your money, it is the hard earned money of the tax payers. Do you understand ?? I am in total shock and express my extreme sorrow over the entire course and state of affairs. Personally, I never thought that purchasing a phone from Homeshop18.com would turn out to be a Himalayan Blunder.
I am writing this complaint as a last resort only when I have had enough of this. The Customer Support personnel had a lot of issue in providing me the address of the Corporate Office and it is only when I asked them in unequivocal terms as to what is the problem if you give me the correspondence address of the Corporate Office. Please initiate the proper course of action, I want the homeshop18.com to take this phone back and provide me the money which I paid.
