Flight was delayed for 2-3 hours; then, I approached Indigo, for which, Indigo said, 'to approach other airlines'. I tried with all other airlines. But, unfortunately, all other flights were also either delayed or full. 6E-438 took off at 16.50hrs and reached Mumbai at 17.40hrs.
As soon as I landed, I ran to GVK and Indigo counters and continuously begged for a help for immediate transfer and to call Emirates (my international traveler). But, Indigo replied thay, 'it is not their fault that I was delayed, so they cannot Inform Emirates'.
Finally, after tremendous begging, they tried to call Emirates only once and said to me that, 'no one is picking up the phone and stop trying as I have already missed my flight'.
Somehow, I managed to reach International airport at 18.45 hours. But, Emirates had closed their gates and denied my pre-checked-in boarding and said ‘if somebody from Indigo had tried informing them they could have done something for me’. I missed my international flight because there Indigo had no interest to help me.
There was no availability for Johannesburg with any airlines for next 24 hours. Somehow, I booked next-day's flight with SA Airlines; which, cost me Rs.41,220 (flight: SA285 & ref:X9H4ZJ). I urgently need, somebody from Indigo to inform Emirates that, it was Indigo’s fault that, I missed my international flight; so that, Emirates do not deduct no-show charges from the refund.
Also, I would urge Indigo to help me to reimburse the effective amount, I had to spend for next flight ticket for no-reason and loss of 1 day and all trauma I had to go through.
