I am Dhananjoy Mondal residing at c/o Dilip Mondal, Vill- Gobindapur, P.O. Kanyapur, Ps: Asansol(N), Dist.-Burdwan, West Bengal, Pin -713341, Mobile No. +919832817849, +919093302027.
I have shown interest on buy one get one holiday package( worth Rs 3999 /- ) advertized by “Bag it today” (India Today group), and then I received a call from their sales department named Risav Roy on 19th August’2013 at about 2:00 pm. He explained me about the package and also confirmed that if I booked this package (Order ID : 33263374) before 3:00 pm on that day then I’ll be winner of a Jack Pot prize. As directed by Mr. Risav Roy over phone (Online) I booked the holiday package and paid Rs. 3999 /- from my credit card on that particular day before 3:00 pm through the link http://www.bagittoday.com/yat3999ib. Then I received a call from the verification department on 19.09.13 at around 4:29 pm and they explained the package, verified my name, address and asked for processing the order. Then I confirmed my order. On 20.09.13 I tried to book my holiday package (selection of Hotels) and paid processing charge of Rs 499 /- from my credit card, but booking was not success, although Rs 499 /- is not refunded to me till now. On 21.09.13 Mis Riya Chouhan from sales department (or Jack-Pot Dept.) call me from the no. 01166572900 at around 11:00 am and explain about my jack pot prize. She told that my order ID 33263374 win a jack-pot prize of 3 nos certified diamonds (30 cent), 1 nos tablet, 2 nos. watches, 1 nos sunglass and 1 nos luggage bag and a scratch card for win more prize and this all for free. She also told about premium customer and most important words that, I have to pay Rs. 16299 /- first for availing my jack-pot prize and then the full amount that is Rs. 16299 /- will refund to me by Cash / Cheque / auto refund to debit a/c as I wish. She also said that the verification department will not tell about the refund, but I’ve no need to worry, after the verification I’ve to inform her and she will arrange another call for refund the money and she gave me two phone no. 01166668989, 01166668950 and a link http://www.bagittoday.com/nvoxib. Then I gone through the link and filling the form as directed by Mis Riya Chouhan over the phone (online),there I paid Rs. 16299 /- from my credit card, I got two mails from bag it today for payment receive and order placed, the Order ID is 33268050. After that I tried to contact Mis Riya Chouhan by calling above two numbers around 150 times, but failed to contact her, because these numbers are always busy. Finally I talking to Mr. Raghav Singhania(Ph No. 01166668950) on 21.09.2013 at around 05:14 pm and told about the jack-pot, but he told that, he can’t help me out. Then I request Mr Singhania to forward my massage to Mis Riya Chouhan. Still now I am not getting any call from Mis Riya Chouhan and also not refunded my money. I called to verification (or response) department (Ph. No. 01204112424) on 23.09.2013 at around 06:07 pm and tell about above story, but again they told me that nothing to do from their side and the amount can’t be refundable after verification. On 24.09.13 at around 01:27 pm I talked to Mr Asit kumar (Ph No. 01202593990) and tell about the above story, and he told me to send the detail through mail to vacation@bagittoday.com. I talked to Mr. Rajput and Adesh (Ph. No. 01202593999) on 25.09.2013 at around 06:07 pm and told about the entire story, He said he’ll forward my complain and verification will be done and give the Ph No. 01204112424 to lodge a complaint again. Then I called 01204112424 and talked to Mr. Lalit Kumar and tell about above story but he refused my complain and said that this order (33268050) placed from my side so he could not help me, even he could not take a complain at least, and he said I can’t cancel the order right now. Really this is very strange for me. In one side their executive said that the money for the order 33268050 is fully refundable because it is jack-pot prize of mine and another side another executive said that it’s not refundable. So how could I trust such a famous company of India today group?
I gone through the internet, Grahak seba, Consumer Court and I found Bag it today fraud many people like me. So it is my humble request please takes necessary action as soon as possible. I belong from a very lower middle class family and Rs. 16299 /- is a very big amount for me. Please arrange to refund my money soon.
