Anonymous on "Unsatisfied customer of Sony Bravia"

Hi,

I purchased a SONY 32 inch LCD BRAVIA (KLV32x350) on Sep'12. I have been using this since 2 yrs untill very recently the TV picture did not display. There was only a green light which kept blinking with out any picture or audio output.

I was taken aback when i got to know from the authorised service person that there is some component in the B-board which had to be replaced and will cost me 6.5K. Having invested 28K on a TV which hardly works for 2 yrs is a utter waste of money or dead investment.
Unfortunately i was not aware of the extended warranty till recently i visited the Sony website, else would have opted for that.
On calling the Sony customer care, I had a brief session who explained to me that if my priority was watching tv, I might as well spend the specified amount and get the same repaired. Since it is an electronic item, there is little that they can do about it.

Not sure, if I really have to invest this much on repair sine I am worried that i will again end up spending if there is some other new issues.
When it comes to durability, I feel this is not a right choice.
