We blame the Government Sector for their poor services but alas the Private Sector is actually sitting here in India to suck on our peace and prosperity.
HDFC Bank has services poorer than the worst of the Government Agencies. I really want to research on as to what is their marketing strategy that despite their continuos deterioration in Customer service they are still registering growth.
Its time that the citizens of our nation really open their eyes to the reality and stop marketing gurus of the Private Sector by befooling us by their winning marketing skills. We have to start acting smart rather than being what they want us to.
I had an account with HRDFC for the past 3 years out of which I have got the chance to use and test their Customer service to the fullest. Their Debit Card service is such that, they issue a card and send it via another Private Sector giant Blue Dart who within a day first claim not to be having the right address of the customer from the bank (to the customer) and then in days together fill in the bank with the information that the customer has shifted from the reported address. On asking the bank about the same for 7 days from the registering of the issue request HDFC officials refuse to give any information or register a complaint or for that matter correct if at all there was mistake somewhere. Later when there is no reply or update happening from the bank you register a complaint. Yes you do get a complaint no. but of what use let us see...Yet to be discovered.
I was pretty sure from the start of this event that it is going to go this track.
How so? It is the third time that I am facing the same kind of issue. HDFC debit cards take 15-30 days to somehow reach you after a lot of ho-ha that you create. The battle does not end here. What use is a card without its pin. Now the pin is sent to you by another POST.
This post again takes all the energy it can suck from you to finally get to you if at all it does. There are chances that it never reaches you.
That was the debit card department. Now a little about the Credit card division.
There seems to be some Credit card main office in Chennai where in the 21st century there is no other way than a written post to be sent to their mailing office to be never reverted on or received by them (who knows).
In this HDFC division their are a lot of people who call you to buy their Credit Card service but if you agree and give them the green signal to issue a card along with all 100,000 documents they need, nothing is going to happen next.
Nobody will have a clue as to where the stack of documents went and where the card is.
You call them, mail them, visit their branch do whatever you can. No one will have a clue. Not even the Branch manager!
