Dear Sir / Madam,

Your kind attention is drawn to the trailing mail to which I have NOT received any reply till date. You will note that I had already informed your Customer Care as early as 25-04-2011 that I wished to CLOSE / DISCONTINUE my Post Paid No. 9007125959 and I was assured that the same would be closed latest by 5th May 2011 & I was also allotted a Reference No. 37092854. In addition, I had brought the above fact to the kind attention of your Nodal Officer vide my trailing mail dated April 25, 2011

Thereafter on 05-05-2011 / 06-05-2011 I personally visited Ms TRISHUL COMMUNICATIONS in BF Block, Salt Lake and I made enquiries with the lady manning the Customer Care Desk (Ms Banerjee) to confirm whether the Number had actually been disconnected since I was getting a Message on my Mobile that my Number has been suspended. Ms Banerjee confirmed that my Service had already been discontinued on 1st May 2011 at 8.00 pm.

Same day I made payment of Rs. 544.19 vide Cheque No. 413595 at Ms TRISHUL COMMUNICATIONS. This Cheque was subsequently debited to my SBI Account on 24th May 2011. The amount of Rs. 544.19 was the total amount due as per my Bill dated 03-May-2011 (Bill Period 02-April-2011 to 01-May-2011). Therefore, there was NO AMOUNT PENDING AGAINST THE ABOVE POST PAID MOBILE.

However, meanwhile I continued to be harassed and disturbed at odd hours by AirTel representatives wanting to know the reasons for surrounding the number. In utter disgust I explicitly informed each and every caller that I WAS NOT AT ALL INTERESTED IN CONTINUING MY ASSOCIATION WIOTH AirTel FOR VARIOUS REASONS.

Surprisingly, today (10th June 2011) I received another Bill dated 03-June-2011 for the period 02-May-2011 to 01-June-2011.. Immediately I rushed to M/s TRISHUL COMMUNICATIONS and approached Ms Banerjee again. I was shocked when she informed me that records were indicating that my request was 'Under Process". When I reminded her about the information given to me by her a few days earlier, she agreed that she had inferred me regarding the suspension of my Number w.e.f 01-May-2011 and expressed surprise how the records were now indicating a different story.

From the above it is abundantly clear that AirTel is in the habit of CHEATING, DEFRAUDING and FLEECING Customers in every way possible.

AirTel is required to give a written explanation on or before Friday 17-June-2011, as to how and why I am being billed for Services NOT USED after the Number was suspended ? Failing which, I shall have no other alternative but to approach the Hon'ble Consumer Courts. Plkease note and remember that I reserve my rights to claim Damages and Compensation for the Harassment.
